On either side, as far as the eye can see, Deerfoot trail is flanked by smoothly combed yellow grain fields and the vegetation just stubborn enough to flower. After such arduous winters, it can only be called a valiant act.

Weather is king in these parts, and the sheer size of the sky reminds me of impermanence; how our plans and our structures are really always at the mercy of a continuous conversation between air water and fire.

To win a pair of tickets to any one of these shows, email the answer to the trivia question below to help@SarahSlean.com. If you answer the question correctly, your name will be entered into a draw to win a pair of tickets to the show of your choice.

Question: What are the names of the three tracks released with, but not available on, the physical copy of The Baroness?

Be sure to include the location of the show you wish to attend in the subject line of your email. Travel costs will not be covered as part of this contest, so be sure to check out the Tour page for specific date and venue information before you enter. Only one entry per person will be submitted into the draw.

The deadline for entering to win tickets to Sarah’s St. John’s, NF, show is Tuesday, May 13 at Noon EST. The deadline for entering to win tickets to Sarah’s Fredericton, NB, Moncton, NB, and Halifax, NS, shows is Wednesday, May 21 at Noon EST.

It has just been announced that Sarah will be playing in the Montreal Jazz Festival this year! On June 28, Sarah will perform at Club Soda as part of this legendary, international festival, which is the largest of its kind. You can purchase presale tickets to this show right now. Three more dates have just been added to the Books & Ballgowns Tour. In addition to the 12 dates that have already been announced, Sarah will also be performing in Medicine Hat, AB, St. John’s, NF, and Moncton, NB.

Tickets for Sarah's Medicine Hat show will go on sale on Monday. Ticket sales for St. John's and Mocton will be happening next Tuesday, April 15. For more details, visit the Tour page.

Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, March 26, the Store will be holding exclusive, best seat ticket presales for almost all of the just-announced Books & Ballgowns dates. Our presales give you the opportunity to purchase your tickets before they go on sale to the public.

The Ottawa Citizen will be holding a listening party for The Baroness for five lucky readers and their guests on Thursday, March 6 at 7:30pm. Those in attendance will be treated to food and drinks and will receive a free copy of The Baroness.
